Is anyone familiar with Comic Works? I'm having a bit of trouble with the program itself. For instance: is there a way to get tones darker than 40%? How do I save out with the layers intact? etc

I just realized you were talking about Comic Works. I was thinking of Manga Studio, which is what I have.

I've tried Comic Works in the past, but didn't stick with it.

I came across ruuieyvm's tutorial. I don't know if it will be helpful, but the last comment about saving files might be.

I believe the tones are all pre-rendered images. Computones would probably be the best place to start.

Yeah, I tried manga studio, but even as someone who's used photoshop for years.. I found it way confusing. comic works is a lot simpler and more bare bones, which is fine for me, mostly.

I wish I could help you, I wanted to use that program too. Is it free or paid? I tried using Manga Studio, but got a bit confused.

I wish I could get manga studio for free xD I was pissed when I discovered you can't use psd files in it. And I have no idea :\

actually, you CAN use psd files, but you have to create a new page first, then import the psd. you can just open them right away in comicworks, and it even opens up a slider so you can choose the levels when changing it to b&w!
